UF QEP

AI Across the Curriculum

The University of Florida will undergo its next reaffirmation of accreditation with SACSCOC in 2024. For each decennial reaffirmation, SACSCOC requires that member institutions prepare and present a five-year Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to meet Standard 7.2. Here is the principle and SACSCOC’s expectations:

Standard 7.2. The institution has a Quality Enhancement Plan that:

  • Has a topic identified through its ongoing, comprehensive planning and evaluation processes;
  • Has a broad-based support of institutional constituencies;
  • Focuses on improving specific student learning outcomes and/or student success;
  • Commits resources to initiate, implement, and complete the QEP; and
  • Includes a plan to assess achievement.

The University of Florida's 2024-2029 QEP as a comprehensive, institution-wide project that is inclusive of all students and integrates initiatives in the Graduate School, professional colleges, and relevant institutes and centers with AI and UF Quest. We have initially captured this concept in the descriptor Intelligence Unlimited, because the integration of these initiatives extends the concepts, skills, and applications of artificial intelligence to the entire UF student body through UF Quest, the ongoing initiatives of the colleges, and the Graduate School. The name of the QEP initiative evolved to AI Across the Curriculum.
