On March 14, 2022, UF Provost Joe Glover announced the establishment of a new AI Academic Initiative (AI2) Center to be led by Associate Provost David Reed. This fulfills an essential initiative proposed by the Task Force and offers organizational structure for the remaining initiatives. All remaining QEP Task Force efforts were conducted with coordination of the AI2 Center after its establishment. The AI2 Center will oversee the implementation of the QEP and other programs across UF related to AI – including programs for faculty development, graduate students, and others.
