QEP Kick Off
On November 8th, 2021 the QEP taskforce members met for the first time. During the meeting, participants engaged in brainstorming activity facilitated by the co-chairs, Drs. Jane Southworth and Kati Migliaccio. For two hours, members of the taskforce collaborated in answering questions related to the implementation of AI efforts across the curriculum at UF. Results from this activity were compiled and analyzed and will serve as the foundation for the subsequent meetings on December 3rd and 14th.
Refining Ideas
On December 3rd, 2021 the QEP Taskforce members met to participate in collaborative activity focused on discussing and refining initial brainstorming ideas. Taskforce members were asked to work in small-groups to discuss specific topics under major themes that emerged during November 8th meeting.
Refining Initiatives
On December 14th, 2021 the QEP Taskforce members met in sub-groups to further discuss potential initiatives and necessary resources and structures that evolved from collaborative activity on December 3rd meeting. Participants were also asked to vote for (or suggest) a different name for the QEP Taskforce in which AI is represented more intentionally.
Group Work
QEP Taskforce members met on January 25th and discussed details of specific initiatives in groups determined by co-chairs. Groups were divided as follows:
- AI Academic Initiatives Center
- Curriculum Development
- Certificate programs
- AI Scholars
- Career Center & Workforce Development
Each one of the five groups was tasked to meet to refine conversations on initiatives and prepare to present on respective topics during the February meeting.
