The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requires that its member institutions represent their status with the Commission identically in all statements about their accreditation status, in both internally developed and published communications and media (Principle 14.1), and in communications and media developed for dissemination to outside agencies (Principle 14.1). This style guide provides the exact wording that must be used in all UF communications that state UF’s accreditation status.

Accreditation and Assessment coordinators in each unit may request Anthology access to faculty, staff, and administrators who have roles associated with the institutional effectiveness and/or academic assessment reporting process.
Requesting Access to Anthology?
To obtain access to Anthology, please email assessment@aa.ufl.edu with the following information:
- Full name and Gatorlink email address for user that needs to be added (ex: Gator@ufl.edu not Gator@aa.ufl.edu)
- Permission level (Unit/College, Program, and Degree Level)
If you are not the assessment coordinator for your unit, please copy your coordinator when submitting your request.
To access the Anthology webpage, click here.Accredited institutions with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) are required to notify the Commission of substantive changes, and when required, seek approval prior to the initiation of changes. Substantive change is a critical component of our ongoing accreditation with SACSCOC, and failure to comply with substantive change requirements could result in a sanction for the university. The University of Florida has developed its Substantive Change policy to align with and operationalize the SACSCOC policy for our campus.
